the balloons origins
Have you ever come to a party and seen so many balloons everywhere you see? Well, technically balloons are a common decoration item for any occasion. Mostly, balloons are used for celebration parties or casually just for kids playing. Using balloons as decoration will make the atmosphere more calming and cheerful. Do you ever wonder what would happen if Ballon was never invented?
We might all know that
Michael Faraday invented the rubber ballons, back in 1824. Later then it
was produced massively in the 1900s.
However, some researchers said long before that, the Aztecs were the first
known to “make” ballons.
From Kumparan.com, the
Astecs are famously known to make a sacrifice for the god to prevent them from
the disaster. Likely other tribes,
they were using animals as a “present” to god. Mostly, they were using animals as
the present.
Animals are important for
their ceremonial occasion. They believed that the god needed blood and flesh as a
sacrifice. So that the god will not give them misery and darkness. They choose
animals like birds, clamps, and even bigger animals such as crocodiles. And
sometimes they were using humans. It depends on how powerful the God they praised.
The Aztecs are practically
using taxidermy as their sacrifice model. They used this technique to hold
the beauty and the shape of their sacrifice. Anyway, they pulled out the
internal organs and stuffed them with something to mimic that the animals
were still alive.
Jean Merlin said in her book
Great Balloons! The complete book of balloon sculpting, that the sacrificed
animals' internal organs will be cleaned, dried in the sun, and then sewn with some
kind of plants. This process will create such a membrane which is likely the
modern balloons.
The history of Ballon itself
was quite triggering. Some people might say it was a disgusting thing after
knowing the history of balloons. But when you take it rasionally, it is such as
quite interesting fact of how much human thinking could be developed.
